GST Tracker® to Track both Handsets and Vehicles at Anaheim (CA) Fire Department
Anaheim, CA (April, 2005) -
In April, GST completed implementation of GST Tracker at Anaheim Fire Department, providing the latest technology to track Nextel handsets in real time. The Nextel handsets, i58 and i325, that are equipped with a GPS chip can be tracked through Nextel wireless network. This same tracking system can also track vehicles installed with GST's GPS devices at the same time. With this installation, the department knows the current locations of all its personnel holding the handsets and vehicles. The system uses GST Mapper to display multiple map layers provided by City of Anaheim GIS.
