GST and Sprint Nextel signed Application Partner Agreement
Santa Ana, CA (November, 2006) —
GST has entered into an Application Partnership Agreement with Sprint Nextel Corporation, Overland Park, KS. The agreement enables GST's patented real-time tracking/mobile mapping technologies and Multi-Agency Interoperability Module to interface with Sprint/Nextel offerings. This agreement will give the Sprint/Nextel distribution channels access to GST's Interoperability Solutions.
GST Public Safety Interoperability Module is designed to support multi-agency data interoperability to provide one common operation picture for dispatch workstations and mobile data computers (MDC). The system offers the capabilities to simultaneously track locations of GPS-enabled Nextel handsets, Blackberry handsets, GPS-equipped vehicles, and other mobile assets through various wireless communication networks, identify nearest resources from any incident location, and display other participating agencies' resources with effective functions designed for mission-critical operations with multi-agency interoperability.
The GST Public Safety Interoperability Module comes with optional features which includes open interface with any Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD), open interface with E911 phone systems, dynamic navigation and real-time generation of fastest routes from any handset or MDC to the incident location either through the agency's CAD or E911 system, and a comprehensive set of two-way data communication capabilities between commanders/dispatchers and field officers.
